The intricacies of the layering of instruments from horns and strings to the texture of Brit Daniel's voice come together in a well organized mess of sounds creating a great studio album.
If you haven't already given Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga a listen, I highly recommend it.

I particularly enjoyed The Ghost in You Lingers, although the piano bit could have done with a slight variance here and there no?
ReplyDeleteAnother future fave would be Black Like Me..what were the lyrics? Hot tar on the pavement takes a toll on your sole (soul)? Or something of the like :)
I'm looking forward to future blog posts Teddy...I mean where else can I keep a finger on what's edgy and fresh in the city?
And so terrific chatting it up in Palm Springs last week...you know I'm a huge Teddy K. fan :)
Deborah
Wow Deb! Thanks for the comments! I didn't know you were such a big Spoon fan! They are one of may all time favorite bands. They're going to be playing a show here in early March. I'm gonna get my ticket here shortly. I've seen them before and they put on a great show!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to catch up with you this past weekend as well. I don't see enough of you and Tom. I also enjoyed spending time with Matt. Thanks again for letting my stay at your house.
My heart goes out to those who loved Teddy....what a shame to have lost someone so intelligent and who brought so much art and creativity to the world...you will be missed.
